Hemp is another name for cannabis. However, it’s often used to describe cannabis that has minimal amounts of THC content, which is what many CBD products are derived from. We use low-THC cannabis to source extracts for many of our products.
There are a few differences between CBD and THC. CBD (short for “cannabidiol”) is a non-psychoactive compound found in cannabis. While research is still being done on its health benefits, studies suggest it helps reduce inflammation and symptoms related to anxiety, as well as improves sleep.
THC (short for “tetrahydrocannabidiol”) is a psychoactive compound. There are a few variants of THC found in dispensaries. The most common and potent by far is Delta-9 THC, which is what produces the “high” cannabis is known for. Delta-8 and Delta-10 (often shortened to “D8” and “D10”) have much more subtle effects but are still important components for a full-spectrum cannabis experience.
Broad-spectrum products have every compound naturally found in cannabis, with the exception of THC. Full-spectrum products contain the full spectrum, but the THC content depends on what kind of product it is. CBD products like our CBD oil tinctures for sale have very low concentrations, while they’ll be much higher in Delta-8 edibles.
